Commune Kocierzew Poludniowy is a local government unit, created in 1973. It is located in the Lowicz administrative unit, in the Lodz province. The commune implements the provisions of the Act of 8 March 1990 on municipal self-government. One of the tasks of the commune is to meet the collective needs of the community by carrying out its own tasks in the field of min.: culture, promotion of the commune and cooperation with local and regional communities of other countries.
Commune Kocierzew Poludniowy implements projects co-financed from the European Union budget and the state budget.

In 2021, as part of the Bilateral Cooperation Fund for the "Culture" Programme under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021, the Commune implemented two bilateral exchange projects.
In September 2021, representatives of the Polish institution visited Norway. Employees of the municipal office, as well as the cultural institution - the Commune Public Library participated in the meetings in Trondheim.

During the visit, meetings were held with partners: Katarzyna Wieczorek, Gunhild Løhre and AKKS Trondheim. Representatives of the Polish institution took part in the following meetings:

• in the Ambolt Audio recording studio
• AKKS Trondheim presented a presentation of AKKS activities based on musical training of children and youth and on comprehensive support for women on the music market
• with dancer Gunhild Løhre, with whom we visited the DansiT dance studio

In October 2021, representatives of institutions from Norway visited Poland. Employees of the commune office, as well as cultural institutions - the Public Library participated with partners in meetings in the Commune of Kocierzew Poludniowy and other institutions in the Lowicz administrative unit. As part of the visit, meetings were held at the Commune Office in Kocierzew Poludniowy, at the Public Library in Kocierzew Poludniowy, with the Mayor of the City of Lowicz and with the Director of the Lowicz Cultural Center in Lowicz.

The implementation of the project "From striped to fjord" Polish-Norwegian cultural cooperation is the result and continuation of the implemented projects.
