Commune Public Library in Kocierzew Poludniowy

The Commune Public Library in Kocierzew Poludniowy is the only cultural institution existing in Commune Kocierzew Poludniowy, which is why it deals with librarian and cultural activities in its scope.

It conducts rich cultural activities promoting the book and folk culture of the Lowicz Principality. The institution strives to promote and disseminate the culture of the region, because it is a very important element of our identity. It is the organizer of local exhibitions, workshops, concerts, art and literary competitions addressed to children, youth and adults. It initiates meetings with authors, without forgetting about the basic mission of the Library, collecting and making the collection available externally. The library organizes educational, educational and cultural events.

At the facility there are two folklore groups Children's Folk Ensemble "Kocierzewiacy" (32 years old), regional folklore group "Boczki Chelmonskie" (48 years old) and singing ensemble "Ksiezanki".

The library cooperates with folk artists and associations operating in Commune Kocierzew Poludniowy.

The cultural institution also has experience in cooperation with partners from Norway. In the years 2019-2021, she was a partner in a bilateral exchange project, and her employee participated in study visits. Participation in this project helped to improve the competences of the institution's employees and gain experience that can be used and used in the long term.
